Kedesh Rehabilitation Services (KRS) wishes to advise stakeholders and other interested parties of the following response to the evolving Global COVID-19 Pandemic.
The response has been developed with the following objectives in mind:
- Maintaining the Safety & Wellbeing of staff, clients, visitors & community members as a top priority
- Providing continuity of service delivery through flexible and innovative methods
- Adapting our approach and practices with a view to remaining operational and relevant to our target populations
The actions are guided by the Australian Government’s instructions regarding restrictions on social gatherings announced on Monday 23 March 2020. Since that date further announcements have been, and will continue to be, made. Among more recent announcements are guidelines concerning restrictions in non-essential movement and social interactions.
KRS confirms it has been classified as an essential service, according to the definitions provided by State and Federal governments. It is our intention is to remain operational and continue to provide alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment services and support to new and existing clients. This will be achieved via non-face-to-face clinical service delivery, drawing on available tools and technologies, including:
- Development and delivery of programs through online and digital media
Our COVID-19 Response & Business Continuity Plan is being guided by updates from the Department of Health, NSW Government and NSW Health. This entails ongoing monitoring of the COVID-19 outbreak in NSW in order to guide our approach to treatment delivery, as well as to facilitate practices in line with community expectations for the safety of our clients and staff during this period.
