Frequently Asked Questions

This section contains a list of questions that are frequently asked about Kedesh programmes.

How long is the waiting list?

The waiting list is influenced by a number of factors, including the number of recent applicants, and the length of time clients are currently staying in the programme. Because of the variability of these factors, it can be difficult to estimate the length of the waiting list. To ensure that you are added to the waiting list as quickly as possible, it is important that you assist us in obtaining all required follow-up. We will tell you what kind of follow-up we need after you finish your application assessment over the telephone.

How long is the programme?

Both the Residential and Day Programmes last for nine (9) weeks.

What is the cost of the programme?

The programme fees depend on the client’s age, and the type of programme. Click here for full details.

What type of programme is it?

Kedesh offers both residential and non-residential rehabilitation programmes to address the psychological aspects of addiction to alcohol, other drugs, and gambling. The programmes offered by Kedesh are based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). More information about the programmes can be accessed here.

Will you take clients with dual diagnosis?

Yes. “Dual Diagnosis” refers to clients who have a mental health diagnosis, as well as problems with drug or alcohol misuse. Kedesh has a dual diagnosis treatment facility, which means that we are able to accept applications from clients who have one or more mental heal diagnoses in addition to their addiction.

What if I am on prescribed medication?

Clients are able to take prescribed medication while at Kedesh. If you are on medication, we will require your doctor to complete our medication chart with your current medications before you can be admitted to Kedesh.

Will I be able to leave Kedesh during the programme?

Yes. Although you will be required not to leave Kedesh unsupervised during the first two weeks of the programme, you will be eligible for leave on the weekends and in the afternoons, depending on how far through the programme you are. Ask our staff for additional details.

What is detox confirmation and how do I get it?

How do I obtain a legal history?

A copy of your criminal history can be obtained from your Probation and Parole Officer, Juvenile Justice Officer (JJO), or MERIT Officer, or from a police station. Ask our Admissions Staff for further details on how to do this.
